Breastfeeding & Latching Difficulties

Difficulty latching, a preference for feeding on one side, or fussiness during feeds can be related to restricted neck mobility. Gentle care aims to support comfortable, effective feeding for both baby and mother.

Feeding & Latching Issues at Ease Family Chiropractic in Petaling Jaya

The neck–feeding connection

To feed well, a baby needs to comfortably turn and tilt their head, open their jaw, and coordinate a strong latch. Tension or restriction in the neck, jaw and upper spine — often related to the birth process — can make feeding on one side harder than the other.
